I am very excited to report that I'm in the initial stages of establishing a rescue facility & ranch for abandoned, abused and neglected animals - a cause near and dear to my heart ! This project has been a long time in the making and will take a bit more time to get up and running, but with the support and guidance of a vast array of lay people and professionals, I plan to be fully operational in the next few years !
From finding donated property to establishing a non-profit organization, connecting with all kinds of people who will assist in making this dream a functioning reality, and lots of good old fashioned elbow grease, I hope that this rescue ranch will serve the innocent, the needy, and the tender-hearted, both two and four legged !
So it is with gusto, optimism, and a sense of inevitability that I spend a good deal of time making the intangible tangible, and doing everything I can to bring love and comfort to animals in need, providing them with a safe home and lots of TLC until such a time comes that they are adopted into a new, loving home.
Other components of this project include creating a summertime camp experience for at risk children, who will learn about compassion, trust, responsibility, and patience as they experience a deepening sense of self-esteem while discovering their own special and unique gifts, an abundant organic garden, composting, self-sustaining practices, and more.
If you do not see me on the photo circuit for a while, this is what I will be working on ! But fret not - I am ALWAYS on the hunt for fabulous photos !
